Job Description

The Branch Manager is accountable for day-to-day operations of the branch and working with the Branch Assistant Manager with managerial and administrative functions. Provides support, guidance, and training to staff. The Branch Manager is responsible for initiating relationships within the community and building the customer base of the branch.

Reports To

• Director of Retail Banking

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensures a well-functioning, cohesive team of retail employees who provide optimal customer service

• Provide coaching, training, and regular feedback to all branch employees

• Manages branch employee schedule

• Monitors and supervises branch activity involving equipment, safe deposit boxes, cash on hand, and branch maintenance

• Oversees audit procedures to ensure compliance with controls. Report any weaknesses to Director of Retail Banking

• Ensures that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the Comptroller of Currency and other regulatory agencies

• Administers the security and safety of the branch. Responsible for all staff members following applicable policies and procedures

• Builds relationships within the community as a representative of Maspeth Federal

• Initiates outreach to potential and existing customers of the bank

• Advocates for an exemplary customer experience. Resolves elevated customer complaints as needed

• Performs other duties as necessary

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree

• A minimum of five years’ experience in branch operations and 3 years’ supervisory experience

• Proven leadership, coaching, and teambuilding skills

• Proven success building and maintaining customer relationships

• Strong organizational skills

• Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods

• Must be able to travel to branch locations for business related matters
