GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


The Per Diem LICSW will provide supervision for staff of the Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations program. The Per Diem LICSW will provide consultation to ASNCM staff regarding different individual scenarios which do not necessarily elevate to enrollment in the Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations program.


Requirements:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with community partners such as designated COAs, Behavioral Health Centers/Network, and Emergency Responder’s to effectively utilize all available resources for the Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations program staff and consumers.
  • Maintain timely and appropriate case documentation according to state regulations, agency standards, other funding sources, and Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations requirements.
  • Reviews referrals/intakes and any additional specific documentation in a timely manner to screen and follow up on the referral as appropriate.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss case management approaches, share professional insights, and develop strategies to improve outreach effectiveness.
  • Provide clinical supervision to the staff of the Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in social work.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW).
  • Experience in providing supervision to Licensed Certified Social Worker, Masters in Mental Health Counseling graduates, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and/or Licensed Social Workers.
  • Possesses knowledge of the aging process, community resources and social health intervention techniques desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret, understand and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures as set forth by the Agency and the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing, to small and large audiences.
  • Ability to conduct in-person assessments with consumers.
  • Ability to effectively cope with a variety of personalities and other stress provoking factors associated with a broad base of people and time constraints.
  • Knowledgeable about and compliant with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential data according to HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain computer security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365


A valid driver's license and a legally insured and registered motor vehicle are required, a copy of the current license and registration will be on file in the personnel record.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing which permits communication with supervisor, co-workers, consumers, community professionals, and public.
  • Ability to talk on a phone, stand, walk, sit, and travel in the community.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of Massachusetts in a private vehicle under all weather conditions including snow.
  • Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing.
  • Sufficient vision which permits production and review of a wide variety of materials, written correspondence, reports, and related electronic and paper communication.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 20 pounds.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
