The Program Director is responsible for the management, oversight and implementation of all programs and grants related to HIV-related services inclusive of HIV testing and Linkage to Care in addition to PrEP and Ending the Epidemic (ETE) HIV prevention services for LGBTQ people. The Program Director provides supervision to staff funded through the YMSM, and Transgender CoC, and Trans Youth initiative.

As part of the essential functions of this role, the Program Director will:

  • Hire, train, manage, supervise, and evaluate paid and/or volunteer staff and interns.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate theory-based and evidence-informed health promotion strategies, policies, programs and services.
  • Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for health promotion programs and services.
  • Evaluates staff reports and data; tracks progress accomplishing work plan goals; identifies barriers where goals are not being met and communicates them to the Executive Director.
  • Develops and presents program/data reports and topics concerning LGBTQ sexual health programming at Pride Center staff meetings.
  • Provides coverage for client services in the absence of program staff.
  • Works with Association Events staff and the Executive Director to organize the Annual Trans Wellness Conference.
  • Represents the Pride Center of WNY at community events, including local, regional and statewide events when/where appropriate.
  • Identifies training opportunities and attends training to develop and enhance skills related to job responsibilities.
  • Collaborates and supports the team members to ensure a patient-focused approach to care.
  • Enters data timely and accurately to promote patient care delivery and participates in ongoing QI/QA activities and training to improve patient experience and increase data quality where needed.
  • Maintains and protects sensitive information in enterprise systems and uses/shares data in compliance with Information Governance and Security Policies.
  • Other duties as requested.

Qualified Candidate will have a Bachelors Degree and two (2) years of experience in a supervisory position. Ideal candidate will have prior knowledge or experience in reproductive health, sexuality, outreach and/or education. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally and demonstrate ability to work independently and exercise effective multitasking and time-management skills. Candidate must be able to supervise staff, program participants and work with clients and community partners. Ability to maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) in a confidential manner required. Sensitivity toward cultural diversity, people living with HIV/AIDS and lifestyle and addiction issues essential.

Job Type: Full Time

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Ability to work non-traditional hours, such as evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet the needs of the program.
