Job Summary

The individual in this role would be responsible for overseeing our team members on the floor throughout shifts.


Essential Duties

  • Create shift schedules for team members.
  • Distribute all necessary tasks and duties during each shift in a fair and effective manner.
  • Walking throughout the facility to monitor employees and facility conditions.
  • Assess individual team member abilities and aptitudes, incorporate into shift duties to promote happy employees and effective workflows.
  • Oversee all team members and ensure all duties and tasks are being performed efficiently and effectively during each shift.
  • Maintain a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines.
  • Set performance goals for individual team members, create reward systems and/or contests as needed.
  • Ensure department goals are met.
  • When needed, fill in for Quality Control Technician role.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any issues in need of resolution.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business.

Work Environment

This job operates in a non-temperature-controlled industrial plant environment. These conditions can vary from hot and cold extremes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving production machinery and vibration. Moderate noise can be expected from forklifts, machinery, trains and trucks. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Regular work will be performed near other workers and production machinery.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Slip-resistant, safety-toe shoes.
  • Eye protection.
  • Hearing protection.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods?of?standing and walking?up to 8 – 10 hours per day.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed.
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines and product.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to?40 pounds?at chest height.

Time Requirements

  • Eight-hour shifts required.
  • Overtime required, as needed.
