Summary

Early Childhood Alliance (ECA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to build better futures for young children by promoting and providing excellence in early childhood care and education. Children under our care range from 6 weeks to pre-school age.

Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Marketing Coordinator develops and implements marketing and communication strategies to meet the marketing and communication goals of the agency.

Employee performs duties in a standard office environment with minimum supervision. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Frequently works on many tasks at the same time. Work requires light to moderate lifting. Able to work a flexible schedule.

Employee maintain frequent contact with agency staff, service providers, administrators, vendors and the public for the purpose of exchanging information related to agency programs.

Employee must be located in the Fort Wayne, IN area and must be available within business hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Employee must have access to reliable transportation in order to travel to learning centers in Fort Wayne and Warsaw, IN.

Schedule:20 hours per week, flexible schedule.

Duties

  • Implements donor communication flow: print, electronic and social channels.
  • Manages Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn posts, videos and analysis data; plans and posts social media entries, website updates and flat screen displays.
  • Creates/formats and/or prints misc. print material (flyers, brochures, posters) to market ECA programs/services.
  • Produces the agency staff newsletter, collecting information from staff and distributing to staff bi-monthly.
  • Photographs and videotapes agency events and presentations for use in publications and social media.
  • Any additional duties deemed necessary by CDO for the functioning of the departments.


Requirements

  • Minimum three years of work experience providing marketing and/or communication services.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; a team player.
  • Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills necessary for an effective and positive manner.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications and Information/Technology services.
  • Accountable for maintaining strict confidentiality.


Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent preferred. Course work or training in marketing and social media is preferred.
  • Experience with Canva is preferred.
