Luma Dentistry Sylacauga | Hygiene Assistant | Full Time

Our team is growing at Luma Dentistry Sylacauga, and we are looking to add a full-time Hygiene Assistant.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Greets patients in waiting area and escorts patients to the operatory
  • Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist
  • Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures
  • Review the health history, make chart entries under the direction of the dentist and assure completion of forms and signatures
  • Assume the responsibility associated with any duties that may be delegated by the dentist
  • Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient when it is needed
  • Stock operatories and maintain clinical supply inventory
  • Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments
  • Supervise preventive maintenance of dental equipment
  • Take digital radiographs
  • Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment

Experience:

  • At least a year in general dentistry
  • Assist with sterilization
  • Assisting the Hygienist with patients
  • Assist with taking x - rays
  • Comfortable assisting with root canals, crowns, extractions, and making temporary crowns
  • Dentrix experience a plus
  • Great attitude and a team player
  • HIPPA compliant

Hours:

  • Monday: 7:45am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 7:45am - 4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 7:45am - 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 7:45am - 4:00pm
