Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for ensuring food quality, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent time management abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Ensure that all food meets quality standards and is prepared in a timely manner
  • Set and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute menus that align with customer preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
  • Schedule and manage kitchen staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of food and kitchen equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and labeling of food products
  • Work closely with the front-of-house staff to coordinate dining experiences and address customer feedback or concerns
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring kitchen staff, as needed


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or food service establishment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management procedures
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Familiarity with inventory management and ordering systems
  • Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as required

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school or relevant certification is a plus
  • Proven experience in a similar kitchen management role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and kitchen management software preferred
