Overview:

 

Join our dynamic auto group as an IT Technician, where you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless technology operations across all departments. Your role will involve providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and implementing IT solutions to enhance our business processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Technical Support:

   - Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.

   - Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

   - Assist users in understanding and utilizing various IT resources and applications.

 

2. Hardware and Software Management:

   - Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.

   - Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are secure and running efficiently.

   - Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

 

3. Network Administration:

   - Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and wireless access points.

   - Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.

   - Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.

 

4. System Administration:

   - Administer and support servers, including file servers, domain controllers, and application servers.

   - Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.

   - Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.

 

5. IT Projects:

   - Assist in the planning, execution, and management of IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

   - Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.

   - Research and recommend new technologies to improve business operations and efficiency.

 

6. Documentation and Training:

   - Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT procedures, systems, and network configurations.

   - Train employees on the use of hardware, software, and IT best practices.

   - Develop user manuals and training materials to support IT education initiatives.

 

7. Vendor Management:

   - Liaise with IT vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and maintenance of IT equipment and services.

 

8. Compliance and Security:

   - Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.

   - Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain data privacy.

   - Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field are a plus.

- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.

- Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows, iOS.

- Familiarity with networking protocols and tools (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

- Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.

 

Working Conditions:

 

- Full-time position with occasional on-call duties for emergency support.

- Some travel between auto group locations may be required.

- Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
