This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work in an office environment while still enjoying career flexibility: 40 weeks of Fridays off to offset 55+ hour weeks during tax season. Work hard during the winter and enjoy a reduced schedule during the summer Well-suited candidates may currently be serving their own small practice, wanting to hop off the big firm merry-go-round, shifting career gears, or planning a return to the workforce. We can customize a role to fit your needs and provide an environment of continuous development for your accounting skill set with unlimited potential for growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Position involves regular interaction and consulting with clients
  • Preparation and review of S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, Trust, Estate & Individual income tax returns
  • Preparation and review of financial statements
  • Be responsive to clients needs, recognize client issues and suggest solutions
  • Research accounting and tax topics relating to specific clients
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • As part of a team, work with developing professionals to encourage their growth and training
Qualifications:
  • BA or BS in Accounting or a related field; CPA or related certification highly preferred
  • At least 8-10 years of accounting experience with progressive experience in tax preparation and consulting across the broad spectrum of income tax rules and strategies related to the needs of individuals and business owners
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to re-prioritize daily
  • Have experience with technical tax return review
  • Have experience in a client-facing role
  • QuickBooks experience (required)
