Frost Brown Todd LLP is currently seeking a Tax and Partnership Staff Accountant to join our firm. The Tax and Partnership Staff Accountant will assist with the Firm’s tax compliance, partners’ earnings, and annual external audit.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the coordination of the Firm annual Finance Statement audit performed by independent accountants.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual Firm federal, state, local, and franchise tax filings, including calculations of appropriate apportionment and quarterly estimates.
  • Assisting with review of Firm’s Sales & Use Tax Compliance.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliation of fixed assets.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliation of partners’ capital accounts.
  • Preparing quarterly allocations of partners share of income.
  • Assisting with compiling of partner’s tax basis capital accounts and cumulative timing differences.
  • Researching various ongoing tax compliance issues.
  • Analyzing and managing Firm’s meal, entertainment, and travel accounts.
  • Other tasks and projects given at the discretion of the Director of Tax and Partnership Accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related major.
  • Licensed certified public accountant preferred.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience with tax focused work in a public accounting firm.
  • Possess a high-level of confidentiality with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Exceptional skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Willing to work independently to meet deadlines.
