The Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering and design documents that are constructable and meet project success criteria. The role involves interacting with clients, managing internal processes, meeting financial goals, and pursuing personal growth.

Responsibilities

Client Perspective:

  • Communicate with clients and attend meetings.
  • Ensure alignment with core values of relationships and advocacy.

Internal Business Process Perspective:

  • Use engineering software to prepare plans and reports.
  • Monitor construction site progress and adherence to contract documents.
  • Ensure job-specific quality as per quality control plans.
  • Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret engineering and construction documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, and cost estimates.
  • Serve as the onsite project representative.
  • Prepare design computations and quantity estimates with increasing proficiency.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

Financial Perspective:

  • Assist in preparing project deliverables within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager or Practice Leader regarding schedules and budgets.
  • Manage small to mid-size projects and achieve financial goals.

Learning and Growth Perspective:

  • Meet metrics for skills development, knowledge acquisition, and personal growth.
  • Engage in professional activities and complete required professional development and certifications.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience in civil site engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer and valid driver’s license.
  • Valid Driver's License

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, or OpenRoads preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and financial functions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work extended hours.
  • Ability to perform tasks that include standing, bending, walking, and working outdoors.

Environment:

  • Predominantly office-based with some travel and occasional outdoor work.
  • Varying noise levels in both office and construction site environments.
