your impact as an Accounting Clerk

As an Accounting Clerk at the YWCA in Cleveland, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting reports on agency finances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Your role will involve preparing bank reconciliations promptly, resolving any outstanding items efficiently. Additionally, you will handle accounts receivable invoices and demonstrate proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software to streamline financial processes. Collaborating with other departments, you will assist with financial inquiries, reporting, and problem-solving to support the organization's overall financial health and success in delivering crucial services to the community.

what we're looking for in an aCCOUNTING cLERK

To excel in the role of Accounting Clerk, candidates must possess a strong accounting skill set. Essential skills include a deep understanding of accounting software to efficiently handle financial transactions and train new employees on its utilization. Proficiency in spreadsheet management is crucial for data organization and reporting accuracy. Moreover, the ability to assist other departments with financial inquiries, reporting, and problem resolution is vital for ensuring smooth interdepartmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will leverage these skills to maintain high standards that meet generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Knowlege and skills required for the position are:

  • Understands accounting software and is able to utilize it efficiently
  • Proficient use of spreadsheets
  • Assist other Departments with Financial related inquires reporting and issues.
