As the Reengagement Specialist and Admissions Coordinator, you will reconnect youth, ages 14 - 21, to education, workforce training, career pathways, and support services with the goals of high school graduation, career exploration, and transition. You will provide trauma-informed services in a culturally specific manner. You will conduct a needs assessment for each youth to develop a college and career plan which identifies goals such as high school completion, secondary education, and career exploration goals. You will also help identify and provide access to wraparound services for youth and their families which will include mental health services, medical services, food boxes, housing, and other basic needs services.

This position works 10 months, and then has a two month involuntary leave in the summer, and returns late August. Benefits coverage continues through the Summer.

The Riverfront School is an accredited alternative school that partners with local school districts to provide individual education opportunities to youth. Riverfront's mission is to "guide and support youth in developing the knowledge, responsibility, and the social skills necessary for productive citizenship." Riverfront also operates as a Career Center for students with the goal to link academic and occupational learning for each youth. The Riverfront Career Center Job Training Program prepares youth for success in the workforce by addressing work expectations, promoting higher education, and providing on-the-job skills training.


Qualified staff have a bachelor's degree, or are working towards a bachelor's degree, in social services, a business-related field. You should have a minimum of two years working with at-risk youth providing trauma-informed and culturally specific services. The ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is preferred, but not required. You must have reliable transportation as this position may require driving to appointments and transporting clients.
