This individual will ensure company compliance with environmental regulations including, air, chemical, oil, water, waste, wildlife, and permit regulations. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations as well as Hope Gas standards and procedures
  • Serve as liaison with government and external agencies
  • Develop working relationships with construction contractors and other personnel to ensure construction is completed in accordance with all environmental plans and permit requirements
  • Oversee environmental inspectors and perform routine environmental construction inspections
  • Review environmental construction inspection reports
  • Implement erosion and sediment control plan and red line drawings as needed
  • Attend routine project meetings and provide environmental updates
Main Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of relevant experience, if no degree must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Transmission pipeline construction experience is mandatory
  • Experience with environmental multimedia support including air, chemical, oil, water, and waste
  • Experience implementing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Groundwater Protection Plans (GPP), and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC)
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental permit regulations and requirements
  • Knowledge of RCRA hazardous waste and DOT Hazmat regulations (preferred)
  • Be within close proximity of Monongalia and Marion Counties
  • Good organizational, communication, and time management skills
