Star Stone is seeking a Quarry Driver with a Class A License delivering from our quarry to various store locations. This job centers around our quarries located close to the City of Rocks National Reserve. Experience driving off road, logging industry or in mines preferred. Terrain can be rough. You need to have experience with heavy loads, mountain driving, and manual transmissions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLASS A CDL DRIVER

Your responsibilities will include loading, unloading, inspecting, and operating delivery vehicles, such as flatbeds or dump trucks. You'll also diagnose and perform minor repairs on fleet equipment. While most deliveries are local, there may be occasional overnight trips. Besides deliveries, you'll ensure that your vehicle is in top condition and equipped with all necessary safety gear. You'll follow DOT regulations and safety protocols to keep things running smoothly. Seeing the direct impact of your work and helping keep our operations efficient will provide a great sense of fulfillment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to meet physical demands, such as lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Skilled in operating equipment needed to load and secure deliveries.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements.
  • Valid Medical Card.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
