Job Title: Janitorial Service Engineer Department: Maintenance

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Pay range: Starting $18.00


Job Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and outside. They are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting high traffic areas, removing leaves, emptying trash, making minor repairs as needed, and tending to the grounds of the establishment. The Janitor may also tend to the grass or plants outside the building, sanitize restrooms, and keep entrances clear. They are often also responsible for performing routine checks of grounds for trash and taking care of other essential services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Clean offices

· Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

· Gather and empty trash.

· Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

· Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

· Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

· Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

· Perform various physical duties as assigned.

· Cleaning and preparing site.

· Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials.

· Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, windows, mirrors, and furniture.

· Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.

· Perform daily cleaning of restrooms.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role preferred.

· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

· Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.

· Excellent physical condition and strength.

· Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.

· Strong communication and time-management skills.

Working Conditions:

· This position involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

· Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying weather conditions when working outdoors.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Golden Manufacturing product knowledge existent and new.

· Knowledge of proper use of hand tools

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and effective presentation of program details and philosophy

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail (provided weekly task sheets).

· Able to work with a minimum of supervision.

Minimum Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or GED and 1 year of applicable experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Other Requirements:

• Push-Pull up to 75 LBS to initiate movement of carts.

• Lift up to 50 LBS. Occasionally, 30 LBS. Frequently, 20 LBS Overhead

• Cleared background check and negative drug screening.

• Completed applications, resume and education if requested.
