JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

To receive merchandise inventory timely and accurately. This includes matching receipts to the purchase order, receiving merchandise into our Northstar inventory system, tagging merchandise and shipping to the various pro shops and communicating regularly with the pros and the accounting department. Sub in shipping department when needed. Count inventory when needed. 10-15 hours/week - Hours – 11:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Approximately.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process the receipt of resale merchandise, prepare receiving reports, and tag the merchandise for distribution to sales outlets.

• Follow the proper receiving procedures in the point of sale software. Run necessary reports to verify any outstanding purchase orders or other reports necessary to ensure proper receipt and accounting of merchandise received and ordered.

• Maintain daily inventory receipts and verify quantities and prices as compared to purchase orders issued by pro shops. This will require daily communication with the golf, tennis and accounts payable departments.

• Ensure timely delivery of received merchandise to the different pro shops by coordinating deliveries with the Courier.

• Provide timely flow of packing slips and invoices to the accounting department for payment.

• Must be organized, detailed oriented, have excellent communication skills, and show initiative to ensure all purchase orders are processed accurately.

• Serve as a substitute for the Purchaser and Courier in regards to ordering, deliveries, securing the inventory and office supply inventory in the Delivery/Inventory area. Accept normal deliveries from shipping carriers, i.e. UPS/Fed Ex.

• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.

• Assists with pro shop inventories on a monthly basis.

• Other duties as assigned by Director of Golf or Golf Professionals.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School

EXPERIENCE: Prior inventory control helpful.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Inventory Software, Windows, MS Office 10 Excel, Word and Outlook.

EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, tagging equipment, scanner, copier.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Administration and Proshops

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Active listening skills and ability to articulate information both verbally and in writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Normal speech, hearing, and vision, lifting of 40 pounds.

SAFETY:

Follow all FGCC safety programs, safety guidelines, policies and procedures. Wear, use and enforce all FGCC personal protection equipment (PPE) as needed on specific jobs and tasks.

Aware of chemical safety and be familiar with all pertinent Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of chemicals which are used in the workplace.

Follow all FGCC safety rules including all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to work at FGCC.

Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously; maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations.
