Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the operations of the factory warehouse, managing the third-party warehouses and applicable contracts. This position is accountable for achieving overall operating results consistent with company performance goals. The Warehouse Manager will direct ongoing communication and collaboration with customers of the warehouses and ensure results meet or exceed customer expectations for product quality and service reliability, speed, and accuracy. This position is responsible for overseeing maintenance processes, record keeping, safety protocol, security services, and inventory assurance to ensure work teams, service providers, equipment, and physical assets are safe and secure. In addition, the Warehouse Manager oversees the recruiting, training, development, and coaching of warehouse employees.

Essential Functions

Responsible for managing the factory warehouse, third party warehouses and applicable contracts.

• Work closely with supervisors and leads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as shipping, receiving and inventory controls. Reviews and evaluates performance of all warehouse functions.

• Manage the daily activity of all shipping, receiving and inventory warehouse employees to assure a high level of internal and external customer service.

• Act as a liaison between manufacturing and customer service.

• Prepare and manage departmental budgets.

• Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory employees.

• Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, including equipment, products, and supplies and orders testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements as needed.

• Responsible for inventory controls, returns, product damage, accurate scanning, and inventory balances.

• Assure coordination of inventory transfers and physical inventories. • Define, develop, and set metrics for internal and external warehouse personnel.

• Identify and install best practices for warehouse management.

• Provide specific electronic reports (metrics); as required.

• Train/cross-train warehouse associates on OSHA and other safety regulations, and security of assets.

• Plan, develop, and implement safety, security, and OSHA compliance.

• Responsible for ensuring the policies and systems in place for Food Safety are practiced and enforced.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• Must have valid forklift certification.

• Must have 1 – 3 years of experience using a forklift.

• 3 to 5 years minimum job-related experience.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a manager role required.

• Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and preferably SAP experience.

• Food Safety, PCQI, HACCP Certification or acceptable experience.
