At Bates Mechanical, we seek out individuals who are quality-oriented, innovative, and motivated to build a career with us. We are currently seeking plumbing foremen, an integral part of our company. The ideal candidate should have crew management skills and an in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes to ensure the highest quality plumbing system installations. Though a plumbing license is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience.

We offer top pay and a variety of bonus structures for this position. Based on driving records and reference checks, we provide a company truck for this position.

Exceptional organizational and communication skills are essential for effective management of tasks and responsibilities in this position.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Ground-Up Construction
  • Thorough knowledge of Equipment Operation
  • Safety Certifications including OSHA 10/30, Equipment Operating Certifications, and Medical Gas Certification
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan and execute plumbing layouts for water supply, waste disposal, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience in roughing in water, waste, and vent piping, using materials like cast iron, copper pipe, CPVC, galvanized, PEX, and PVC.
  • Skilled in cutting, threading, and soldering pipes as necessary, including the use of an acetylene torch.
  • Competency in using plumbing tools and equipment safely.
  • Installation, repair, and maintenance expertise with all plumbing fixtures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify necessary repairs or replacements for operational plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with customers, vendors, co-workers, and fellow plumbers, displaying patience and friendliness.
