Job Title: Supply Management Specialist I (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration: 1 year with possible extension

Location: Cary, NC 27513

Shift: Flexible start from 7am-9am

Description:

  • Provides entry-level sourcing, Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) support, including developing and enforcing strategies and contracts for lower-value, less complex commodities.
  • Assists with cost models, make vs. buy studies, spend analysis, invoice issue resolution, and other data analyses.
  • Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing to address chronic supplier performance issues or validate suppliers during early selection as part of EPDP.
  • Utilizes the Achieving Excellence process to manage supplier performance.
  • Requires discretion and independent judgment; work is reviewed periodically or upon completion.

Duties:

  • Executes Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) with cost reduction activities, analyzing quotations, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, process capability, lead time, and stability.
  • Participates in resourcing activities and make vs. buy decisions; collects cost data and prepares limited supplier cost/industry analyses.
  • Supports the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process to ensure timely, cost-effective design changes and product improvements.
  • Develops and executes inventory plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals; resolves shipping, receiving, invoicing, and payment issues to ensure prompt and accurate payments.
  • Drives continuous improvement in performance and lowest total cost with the supply base using the Achieving Excellence process.
  • Defines, resolves, and provides permanent solutions to supplier performance issues with assistance from quality, product engineering, and other functions, while managing day-to-day supplier relationship issues.
  • Expedites parts as necessary.

Specific Position Requirements:

  • 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
  • Good understanding of Order Fulfillment principles and independent application of this knowledge.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Project management experience.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of Supply Management experience.
  • Formal education in Business, Finance/Accounting, Supply Management, or Engineering.
  • Recent graduates also considered.
  • Position requires up to 40 hours per week; flexible start from 7am-9am
  • Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
