Day to day as a Overnight Call Specialist

As an Overnight Call Specialist at FirstLink, prepare yourself for a fulfilling experience. As a new team member, you will receive comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and prepared to handle any situation. Each day, you can expect to answer incoming calls from individuals seeking guidance and support, whether it's a crisis situation or simply someone in need of a friendly ear. Your calm demeanor and empathetic nature will shine through as you provide assistance, resources, and referrals.

Working the graveyard shift, from 12am-8am, you will be part of a dedicated team that never sleeps. While the rest of the world is dreaming, you'll be making a difference in people's lives. You can anticipate a fast-paced environment, where no two calls are ever the same. Your ability to adapt and think on your feet will be crucial as you navigate through various scenarios.

Are you the Overnight Call Specialist we're looking for?

To succeed as an Overnight Call Specialist at FirstLink, certain skills and qualities are essential. First and foremost, strong communication skills are a must. You'll need to be an excellent listener, able to empathize and offer support to callers in distress.

Being a problem solver is crucial, as you'll encounter a variety of situations requiring quick-thinking and resourcefulness. Multitasking is another vital skill, as you'll be juggling multiple calls and providing assistance simultaneously. Familiarity with computer systems and the ability to quickly navigate various software tools is necessary for efficiently documenting and managing calls.

While prior experience is a plus, we provide comprehensive training on the specific tools and software used in our call center. A calm and composed demeanor is essential, as you may encounter callers in highly emotional or volatile states. The ability to remain level-headed and provide a reassuring presence is key.
