The Director of Revenue Management and Solution Design is assigned accountability for generating dedicated solutions for specific targeted customers. They also ensure pricing strategy aligns with commercial growth goals while implementing the processes to employ approach. This person will work closely with operations and sales to complete the dedicated rate review schedules, justification, and execute the plans. They are responsible for executing the API and RPA/parade pricing models for improving brokerage volume and lower unbilled miles in network/dedicated fleets. Furthermore, they utilize win rates to set pricing approach while collaborating with team to automate and streamline processes.
Essential Functions/Specific Responsibilities:
- Working closely with customers and operational teams to optimize potential new business / re-engineer existing business through network integration opportunities.
- Establish and execute the Paper Transport (PTI) strategy for pricing Intermodal, Dedicated, and one-way business.
- Commercializing solutions through cost and pricing models.
- Lead the pricing and commercial marketing team.
- To become a solution design SME within a specific skill/technology/business
- To work closely with other key functions such as business development to ensure quality solution outputs are presented back to customers as part of new business / renewal project proposals.
- Utilize outside sources and internal team talent to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data science models integrated into business processes.
- Consult with third parties and/or develop internal team to conduct in-depth research and analysis of data.
- Provide insights and action recommendations for dedicated prospecting initiatives, solution design, and business growth.
- Perform complex revenue management analysis.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify technology and process inefficiencies.
- Develop dashboards, reports, analytical tools with tech team to enable awareness of success on given dedicated opportunities, Intermodal and one-way lane success to help us establish targeted prospects in future.
- Assist with recommendations on data storage structures, data mining and data cleansing to support revenue management analytics.
- Maintain dashboards to provide a narrative structure and data visualization of Paper Transport's perspective on the current and future state of the market.
- Collaborate with accounting team as the owners of the dedicated pricing model to ensure alignment with operations and commercial team.
- Have onsite presence in our Green Bay office an average of 4-5 days per week.
Qualification, Education, and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Time Management skills
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Knowledge of transport solutions design within automated pricing functions
- Develop an understanding of PTI sectors, customers, and products.
- Experience of using technology for data manipulation and modelling
- Understanding network design and operations.
- Experience of Modelling, extrapolating, and interpreting data and using this to inform the solutions design process.
- Finding innovative solutions to problems and defining your own concepts.
- Able to look for ways to drive increased efficiency and improved service.
- Metric management of stakeholders and ownership of projects
