Maintenance Tech

Position Summary

The Maintenance staff is responsible for all maintenance issues including installs, repairs, and equipment transfers within the plant to ensure the plant remains operational.

1. Perform preventative and general maintenance
   1. Monitor, maintain, and repair electrical and automated equipment and systems including centrifuge, conveyors, hammermills, and grain equipment
   2. Check heat sources, pressures, change belts, grease bearings, keep oil full as needed, flush pipes
   3. Take readings and compare trends
   4. Clean wetcake pad
   5. Perform maintenance during scheduled shutdowns
   6. Service equipment and company vehicles
   7. Upgrade and install new equipment
2. Repair faulty equipment
   1. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
   2. Detect and fix leaks, noises, smells, and vibrations in equipment
   3. Assist vendors when contract work is needed
   4. Fabricate and weld equipment as needed

Job Requirements:

• A high school diploma / GED
• One year of related maintenance work experience
• Ability to operate company equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of plumbing and water treatment
• Ability to follow direction and standard operating procedures
• Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
• Ability to stand and walk frequently; twist, bend, and reach on a regular basis
• Work with caustic chemicals
