About Us: We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality fasteners, specializing in producing a wide range of fasteners using advanced technology, including thread roll machines, header machines (cold and hot), and CNCs.
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and fabrication, crucial for maintaining and repairing our diverse range of machinery. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on thread roll machines, header machines (cold and hot), CNC machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, making necessary repairs to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Fabricate and repair machine parts as needed using welding, machining, and other fabrication techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to machinery and processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to build a strong, knowledgeable team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with fabrication techniques, including welding, machining, and metalworking.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and their maintenance is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
