Digital Release Lead

Moxe is searching for a Digital Release Lead to join our growing team

Who You Are

As a Digital Release Lead, you will act as a resource for the release of patient information to ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility guidelines, ensuring that patient confidentiality is protected at all times. You will process release of information requests and coordinate timely responses to written/verbal/etc requests for patient information. In your capacity as Lead, you will also act as the first point of contact for team escalations and questions, and partner with broader team leadership on Release of Information processes, policies, and best practices.

*Please note this role is remote but will travel onsite in Waconia, Minnesota and may support multiple Moxe customers.

Responsibilities

• Interact with requestors to identify medical records needed for patient care, review, billing or release of information
• Prioritize release of information requests, retrieve medical records from active and inactive locations
• Handle all requests and inquiries for patient health information whether received via mail, fax, phone, or in person according to our SLAs
• Serve as a Release of Information subject matter expert while performing complex duties including processing requests for Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Perform quality checks and follow up with Digital Release Specialists as needed
• Process subpoenas and certify records as required
• Triage and address all Privacy Questions, coordinate all Privacy Reports with Privacy Officer
• Update all State Pricing tables with Moxe Leadership
• Act as first point of contact for team questions and escalations; coach and mentor ROI Specialists in conjunction with Managers and Directors
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service by being attentive, polite, and respectful. Ensure complete understanding of the customer requests and follow through as required.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in HIM and/or Release of Information
• 8+ years of experience with electronic health record (EHR) processing, specifically Meditech and/or Epic
• Previous experience in a "lead" or management role
• Ability to prioritize workflow, stay organized, and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
