Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking an entry-level IT Technician to support our NSWC team in Corona, CA You will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment and software
• Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controlsMonitor system performance and ensure optimal operation
• Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices and tools
• Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
• A DoD issued active Secret Clearance 
• CompTIA Security+ certification 
• Proficiency in Windows, RHEL, and Linux operating systems
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and other common business applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Additional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure
• Ability to script and automate tasks using PowerShell or similar tools
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

The compensation range for this position: $32.00 an hour.
