Azure Cloud Engineer

- Support our VA clients in their Cloud Operations to Enhance, Optimize, and Maintain their Computing Capabilities across their Technical Landscape
- Working with VA System Administrators when Supporting Application Teams
- Working with Project Teams to Operate and Maintain (O&M) of VA Applications on Azure Government Cloud
- Utilizing Automation Tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Azure Bicep, or Similar
- Assist with Upgrading, Installing, and Configuring monitoring solution for Azure for Windows or Linux servers
- Create and maintain gold images/scripts
- Assist with reporting on current infrastructure status
- Document each application’s production operations processes via a production operation manual (POM)
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or 10+ years equivalent technical experience
- 6+ Years setting up, configuring and using Azure cloud operational tools to ensure service level agreements and performance targets are met, and continued compliance with policies, standards and guidelines.
- Experience with monitoring of OS/application-level metrics and related visualizations
- 4+ years of experience in Bash shell, Powershell, as well as Java or Python
- Strong analytical skills with a logical mindset and problem-solving approach
- Effective communication skills both orally and written with various audiences.
- Experience and proven ability to work remotely.
