Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with a keen eye for accuracy and a passion for numbers. As a Bookkeeping Associate, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our company, working closely with our Finance Manager and other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and file tax documents and reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and team members regarding financial matters
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of aviation industry a plus
