How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:

Join the dynamic MMSI team as a Marine Machinery Electrician responsible for performing maintenance and repairs. This position is located at our Regional Boat Maintenance Center in Woodbine, GA. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy of various vessels and crafts

• Work on various vessels and crafts or related systems and equipment which may involve: installing or repairing any variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, equipment; working with blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electricians hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.

• Ensure compliance to all Company Policies and Procedures, USCG, Federal, State and local government agencies regulations.

• Any other duties as required for the Contract performance


Supervisory Responsibilities:

· This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

· 18 Years of Age

· US Citizen

Be able to perform the responsibilities above.

Specialized Skill sets a plus


Physical Demands

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

· The physical demands include ability to concentrate on tasking, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.

Work Environment:

· Outdoor environment including hot, humid working conditions

· Use of Hazardous Materials and Pressurized Systems

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours worked are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m but can expect extended days or additional days based on current workload. Opportunities for overtime.
