Sheet Metal Foreman
Location: Grand Prairie, TXHours: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pmPay rate: $28-42/hour DOEAn HVAC maintenance and mechanical company in the DFW is looking for the best and brightest in the market to join their team. The Sheetmetal Foreman will lead three or more other workers to accomplish trades and labor work, including as a paramount requirement, sufficient skill in and knowledge of the trades and labor work performed by the group led to effectively carry out the duties of a Foreman outlined below.As A Member of This team:
  • Passing on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started, e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group-led
  • Work along with other workers and set the pace
  • Demonstrate proper work methods
  • Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations
  • Obtain needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that come up during the work
  • Maintain current knowledge, and answer questions from other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (for example, technical orders)
  • Ensure that there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy
  • Check work while in progress and when finished to see whether the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met
  • Lead other workers to follow instructions received from supervisors, and to meet deadlines
  • Report to superintendents and project managers on the status and progress of work, and causes of work delays
You Will Need:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ verifiable experience in sheet metal trade
  • Thorough knowledge of sheet metal blueprints, specifications and codes
  • Thorough knowledge of other major craft blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of all sheet metal system
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with employees and clients on a professional level
  • Ability to supervise multiple employees
  • Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
