PURPOSE

Oversee the administration of SEMA’s network systems. Manage the IT departments helpdesk system. Establish and maintain security procedures. Service Association staff computing needs and provide support to staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

  1. Responsible for the configuration of hardware and software applications.
  2. Manage and support all server and desktop environments, including hardware, software, cloud applications, cloud services and training.
  3. Develop and maintain system standards and procedures for SEMA’s network environment.
  4. Manage and support SEMA’s Microsoft Office 365 online applications. Including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint and VOIP services.
  5. Manage of disaster recovery procedures and updates.
  6. Monitor and manage SEMA’s network infrastructure.
  7. Manage and monitor system backups.
  8. Manage biannual PEN testing process.
  9. Analyze server, firewall and antivirus log files.
  10. Coordinate services and support with all association support vendors.
  11. Manage and setup IT related services at the association’s tradeshows.
  12. Travel to remote facilities and events when necessary.
  13. Maintains and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  14. When directed by management, perform other assignments and duties as required.

RELATIONSHIPS

  1. Interfaces with all levels of staff.
  2. Interfaces with Association members when needed, outside computer support, service vendors and contractors.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  1. Detailed knowledge of Azure, VMware, Windows Server and Active Directory, Windows Desktop and Apple operating systems. SolarWinds, ManageEngine, Sentinel One, NinjaOne and Unitrends experience is a plus.
  2. Understanding of network infrastructure, including but not limited to servers, switches, firewalls, vpn tunnels, wiring and ups systems.
  3. Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 online applications.
  4. Ability to manage systems and develop procedures.
  5. Be a team contributor, with the ability to work autonomously and solve problems on the fly.
  6. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in IT Field, certifications in lieu of degree or work experience as a Network Administrator
  7. 5 to 7 years of IT related work experience in a business environment.
  8. Operational knowledge and understanding of system backup methods and disaster recovery procedures.
  9. Possess good oral and written communication skills and ability to provide work direction to others.
