Accountant Job Duties

  • Prepare internal financial statements for multiple companies.
  • Perform day to day banking activities (voids, stop payments, deposits, wire transfersetup, ACH payments, etc.)
  • Ensure the timely completion of a variety of accounting processes, including monthlybank reconciliations, check processing, and posting daily cash activity.
  • Process journal entries, A/R, A/P, and day to day transactions for multiple companies. • Lead team member for external audits.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately with other departments to ensureaccounting functions are completed accurately and timely.
  • Undertake other projects as required by the Controller.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting with two years of experience.
  • Experience working in the construction industry preferred.
  • MS Office skills (advanced proficiency in Excel).
  • High attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive team player attitude.
  • Able to multitask and change priorities quickly when necessary.
  • Manage sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and analytical with assigned work.
  • Experience in job costing and construction accounting software a plus.
