General Summary: The Private Duty Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the implementation and supervision of administrative policies and administratively supervising the provision of all services for the assigned agencies and registries.

Essential Functions:

  • Promote /exemplify the Company's mission, vision, and values at all times.
  • Plan, organize, direct and evaluate operations to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services for the assigned agencies. This includes providing supervision and oversight for all locations.
  • Delegate and authorize in writing a qualified person to assume responsibilities and functions in his/her absence.
  • Provide expert guidance and assistance to Agency staff in all matters relating to the delivery of home health services to assure that quality standards are maintained and federal and state regulations are met. Oversee the provision of patient care for the Agency, according to established policies and standards.
  • Implement governing body directives and ensure the implementation of organizational policies and procedures, as well as the development and implementation of appropriate services policies. Assure documentation of services provided is accurate and timely.
  • Develop and maintain sound administrative policies and management activities including budget control, cost determination, fee setting and collection, and financial reports to the Board of Directors. Implement effective budgeting and accounting systems that promote the health and safety of the patients and oversee all Agency fiscal affairs. Implement and regularly evaluate branch budgets.
  • Negotiates contracts and maintains strong relationships with payor sources.
  • Employ, contract, recruit, manage, and directly qualify personnel to carry out the policies and procedures of the Agency or Registry. Ensure adequate staff education and evaluation. Ensure staff development including orientation, in-service education, continuing education, and evaluation of staff.
  • Responsible for supervision and evaluation of satisfaction surveys of all patients served.
  • Direct and monitor organizational Performance Improvement activities.
  • Participate in the review, analysis, and appraisal of the effectiveness of the total Private Duty program. Evaluate service policies and functions, and recommend proposals for changes or study problems with affecting the Private Duty line of business.
  • Establish a public relations program, ensuring the accuracy of information materials and activities, for interpretation of the Private Duty services and foster good working relations with physicians and community agencies.
  • Direct preparation of an annual report of operations and annual Agency/Registry evaluation.
  • Implement all utilization review activities and coordinate the timely implementation of corrective action plans and controls.
  • Responsible for the completion, maintenance, and submission of various clinical or financial reports as needed to maintain or improve operational and clinical performance.
  • Maintain a current organizational chart to show lines of authority to the client level.
  • Maintain office facility for the Agency/Registry which is large enough for efficient staff work, adequately equipped, and provides for a safe working environment, meeting local ordinances and fire regulations.
  • Oversee complaint resolution and client/patient satisfaction periodic review of patient records.
  • Provide direct supervision for assigned positions. Work cooperatively with the Director of Business Development and Account Executives to ensure Private Duty growth.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state, and federal laws relating to all of the operations of the Agency/Registry.

Requirements:

· Experience:

  • Must have home health experience-At least 1 full year in a home care leadership role
  • At least two years of management or leadership experience in a health-related setting.
  • Active RN License of Florida Required.
  • Private Duty Nursing experience preferred
