LCS seeks an experienced Plumbing Foreman to join our growing Special Projects Group We have an opening for a Plumbing Foreman to lead our plumbing projects. Duties include supervising the assembly and repair of plumbing systems, such as water delivery systems and drainage and wastewater disposal. Knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing is a must. 

 

Plumbing foreman responsibilities involve:

 

  • Supervising a crew of LCS Plumbers 
  • Delegating tasks as necessary 
  • Communicating with site personnel and management on project progress
  • Diagnosing plumbing problems  
  • Tending to all essential equipment

 

LCS aims to install and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids for our clients. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise day-to-day operations on assigned plumbing tasks.
  • Review blueprints and confirm project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Delegate tasks to LCS Plumbers and ensure each project's safety, quality, and timely completion. 
  • Communicate and produce status updates/reports of the project to management.
  • Provide strong client relationships and show a can-do attitude toward their projects.
  • Lead positively and support the LCS team, customers, and vendors. 
  • Document materials and equipment use and report any problems that may arise. 
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring).
  • Install and maintain water supply systems.
  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks)
  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets, etc. 
  • Repair domestic appliances (e.g., washing machines) and fixtures (e.g., sinks).
  • Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators, etc.)
  • Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Ten years of experience in commercial plumbing
  • Proven experience as a plumber
  • Process Piping experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in commercial and industrial buildings
  • Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances 
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.
  • Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship
  • A valid license to practice a profession (CA) is a plus
