Intern - SBC (Summer 2024)

Job Summary: This full-time, temporary Intern will support the Specialized Banking Team at Needham Bank Medford. The SBC Team Intern will be introduced to our procedures for customer identification, onboarding and relationship maintenance to promote vertical and horizontal portfolio growth for the SBC. The Intern work closely with the SBC Team, on daily tasks and will focus on several projects to assist the SBC Business Development and the SBC Banking Center Teams to enhance efficiencies and improve operational integrity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with SBC Business Development and SBC Banking Center Leadership and assist with key projects to enhance efficiencies, client experience and compliance readiness.
• Partnering with SBC Team in leveraging available public resources to identify SBC prospects
• Participation in introductory conversations with prospects and relationship review conversations with existing clients
• Introductory education within but not limited to the scope of Cannabis and Money Service Businesses regulatory, compliance, legal and lending arenas and work with team members to communicate with customers on a variety of topics including updating information and electronic files.
• Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Pursuit of Bachelor's and/or Graduate degree in Business, Finance or related field
• Entry level knowledge of business environment
• Interest in Banking preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Normal business office environment
