Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary:

The MTR Coordinator will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of Material Test Reports (MTRs). This includes the collection, verification, filing, retrieval, and the uploading of the MTR database to support our commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients. The MTR Coordinator will work closely with the Branch teams, Quality Assurance Specialist, and sales teams to ensure that all MTR processes are being followed. The MTR Coordinator provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.

Essential Functions:
  • Scan and enter all MTR information into a database through the imaging app. All inbound vendors must be completed the same day.
  • Maintain an organized and accessible digital and physical filing system for all MTRs.
  • Collaborate with the receiving team to match MTRs with corresponding materials received.
  • Provide MTRs to customers and internal stakeholders upon request, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information.
  • Work with the branches and Quality Assurance Specialist to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to material quality or documentation.
  • Investigate and review customer concerns to find root cause.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and changes related to material reporting.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Coordinate with vendors for an MTR retrieval efficient process.
  • Supporting all MTR team members to streamline MTR processes.
  • Verifying that MTRs contain all relevant information, such as heat codes and certification.
  • Pick fittings and pipe for MTR orders and record heat numbers in the database when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Completion of all onboarding ASA product knowledge courses.
  • Proficient in computer and database input and knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficiency in picking, checking, and MTR processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with office and operations staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficient in English for business communication.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to complete projects autonomously.
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Required Experience and Education:
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: MTR’s, pipe picking, material picking, checking, etc.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50 lbs.
  • Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
  • Requires the ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
