We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Credit Manager to join our finance team in the Graniteville, SC area. The Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit operations of the company, ensuring the evaluation of creditworthiness, the maintenance of detailed records, and the negotiation of loan terms with new customers. This role requires a blend of management and operational expertise to optimize our credit policies and monitor customer payments effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential customers’ creditworthiness through comprehensive analysis.
- Maintain detailed records of company loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Negotiate loan terms with new customers to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
- Monitor and review customers’ payment activities to ensure timely collections.
- Review and update the company’s credit policy as necessary to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess financial data and credit reports.
- Advanced mathematical ability for accurate calculations and financial assessments.
- Solid interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all credit-related activities.
- Great written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and discussions.
- Experience as a Credit Analyst is preferred, with a strong understanding of credit management principles.
- Alternatively, candidates with experience in related fields such as accounting, business administration, or banking in a leadership role will be considered.
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, along with general ledger management.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
