POSITION: IPM Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Director of Cultivation

IPM SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage all tasks throughout the growth cycle, including foliar and preventive spraying, root drenches, waste disposal, and inventory management.
  • Ensure adherence to grow warehouse protocols and nutrient regimens.
  • Supervise the care of cannabis plants, ensuring each plant receives necessary attention to minimize any incidence of pest and disease through rigorous prevention program across the facility, with oversight from department managers
  • Develop and manage a thorough IPM schedule focusing on prevention and incorporation of biological control agents, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring a healthy garden and minimizing expenses.
  • Implement and oversee preventative maintenance and elimination of all types of molds, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, fungus gnats, etc., maintaining the established Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment.
  • Ensure careful adherence to horticultural production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure adherence to industry rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to provide timely and accurate reporting.
  • Supervise IPM team to ensure successful execution of tasks.
  • Ability to lift/move 50 lbs.

IPM TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and oversee spraying of indicated rooms on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Friday schedules.
  • Conduct and review scouting reports (Mondays).
  • Supervise the application of beneficial insects on respective dates.
  • Ensure replacement of sticky cards as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 Years of Supervisory Experience in Cultivation Pest Management.
  • Ability to observe and enforce security procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong leadership skills, contributing to building a positive and productive team environment and supporting the team's efforts to succeed.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments, protocols, organizational needs, and requirements.
  • Displays passion and optimism, while inspiring respect and trust in co-workers; offers help when needed.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions in English.
  • Excellent documentation, inventory, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage tight schedules and execute techniques and protocols consistently.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close vision and distant vision.
