Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGeotemps is looking for 2 geologist to assist in the acquisition of quality geological data to support the project. Duties include, but not limited to, geological and geotechnical core logging, field mapping, and sampling. This is a temporary assignment of 6 months and may extend longer.Ensures and maintains safe practices in alignment with South32 Hermosa standards and core values.
- Drive zero harm workplace through visible felt leadership, stop work authority, and other safety programs in place.
- Upholds safety and environmental standards and compliance.
- Geological and geotechnical logging of diamond drill core.
- Support accurate and consistent sample collection and QAQC initiatives.
- Support exploration and infill drilling programs and activities.
- Support exploration mapping and sampling activities.
- Excellent safety record required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs required.
- Ability to work within a team environment and possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Familiarity with logging diamond drill core preferred.
- Willingness to help out other team members and teams
- Bachelors degree in Geology or related field
- 0-3 years of geology experience (recent grads welcome)
- Must have a good driving record and pass background, physical, drug screen and alcohol breathalyzer test
- The shift is 4-10 hour days per week / flexible on days
