Job DescriptionAs a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing shipments. You will verify and keep records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure all shipments meet specifications and are properly documented.Responsibilities:
  • Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items for outgoing shipments
  • Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons
  • Operate material handling equipment to move shipments from shipping to designated pick-up area
  • Keep records of materials sent
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement
  • Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to use an electric jack
