The Director of the Trauma Program will coordinate care for trauma patients throughout all phases—pre-hospital, hospital, and post-hospital. This role is responsible for organizing services and systems for a multidisciplinary approach to trauma care, managing clinical activities, education, performance improvement, administration, and research.

Location: Portsmouth, NH
Compensation: $110K-$176K plus bonus incentive | Relocation on a case-by-case basis
Schedule: Full-Time, No Weekends

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Three years of clinical experience in trauma or emergency care.
  • Registered professional nurse in New Hampshire or eligible for immediate registration.
  • Certified in TNCC, ENPC/PALS, ACLS, BCLS; Instructor status preferred.
  • Current Director of Trauma experience required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate and prepare hospital staff on ACS guidelines.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
  • Monitor in-hospital patient care.
  • Facilitate staff development and participate in case reviews.
  • Direct community trauma education programs.
  • Monitor clinical processes, conduct audits, and address corrective actions.
  • Oversee operational, personnel, and financial aspects of the trauma program.
  • Manage data collection and validation for the trauma registry.
  • Act as a resource for staff and liaise with EMS agencies.
  • Support and conduct research projects.
  • Contribute to trauma care system development.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and consistent policy application.

Additional Information:

  • Handles 5-25 patients daily with 1600 activation levels.
  • Offers an incentive bonus and relocation on a case-by-case basis.
  • Schedule: Full-Time, No Weekends.
