Position Overview: As the Asphalt Paving Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of asphalt paving operations at various job sites. You will lead a team of paving crew members, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and with the highest level of quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in asphalt paving, and a focus on achieving project goals within specified timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise and direct asphalt paving crew members to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Coordinate equipment and material resources to optimize productivity and efficiency on job sites.

Conduct pre-job meetings to review project requirements, safety protocols, and work plans with crew members. Monitor work progress, quality standards, and performance metrics to identify and address any issues or deviations from project requirements. Provide on-the-job training and guidance to crew members to enhance their skills and ensure consistent performance. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to address any concerns, modifications, or additional requirements during project execution. Perform regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance requirements. Prepare and submit daily progress reports, time sheets, and other documentation as required by company policies and project specifications. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among crew members.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt paving operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, equipment operation, and industry best practices. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team. Demonstrated ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and technical drawings. Proficiency in operating paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, and skid steers. Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols and regulations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in asphalt paving or construction management are a plus.
