This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, as well as contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.


Responsibilities:

PLC Programming and Maintenance:

  • Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs to control manufacturing equipment.
  • Modify existing PLC programs to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct regular PLC maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.

Equipment Troubleshooting and Repair:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex equipment issues.

Continuous improvement

  • Implement process improvements and automation solutions to enhance production capabilities.
  • Assist engineering in the design and implementation of new equipment and systems.
  • Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
  • Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Formal trade education preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, such as electronics and hydraulics.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Experience with CAD software a plus (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)
  • Experience with PLC programming
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and industrial equipment troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
