Your Opportunity: Director of Finance & Administration

This is a newly created role as part of the organization's strategic plan.

Director of Finance & Administration – Your Job Duties:

You will work in both a strategic and hands-on capacity overseeing the finance and accounting operations of the primary not-for-profit entity, along with several other ancillary entities, as the leader of the finance and accounting team. You will:

• Oversee the finance and accounting team (Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable and Payroll) including directly overseeing work performed, serving as escalation point for complex accounting matters, mentoring, performance reviews and staffing decisions
• Perform procedures for quarterly close, including overseeing journal entries, reconciliation and close process
• Prepare financial statement reporting package for management and the board of directors
• Compile and prepare the annual budget
• Track income and expenses as compared to budget, on a monthly basis, reporting the budget to actuals to the CEO
• Oversee and assist with accounting for government contract billings
• Serve as primary point of contact for third-party auditors related to audit and tax matters
• Identify processes that could be improved with additional efficiencies / workflow overhauls, bringing the process improvement to the team and implementing the change
  

Director of Finance & Administration -You Have (Required Skills, Experience):

• You are a leader that enjoys both overseeing and rolling up your sleeves to perform daily accounting
• You are skilled and experienced in performing a month end close and generating a financial statement package under GAAP accounting
• You enjoy mentoring, motivating and working with a team that wants to learn from YOU
• You bring a continuous improvement mindset to identify improvements in the accounting function
• Ability to work in office in Roseville, CA daily
  

Director of Finance & Administration – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)

• Prior experience using SAGE 100 ERP system
• Prior experience with job costing or cost coding (you might also have a real estate or construction accounting in your background)
• Prior experience with not-for-profit accounting / accounting and reporting for 501(c)3 entities in an in-house role or public accounting auditor role
  

This is a 100% in office role. Flexible schedule (choose your schedule between 6am and 9am start time).

Compensation $120,000 to $130,000.

Limited to no overtime anticipated. No travel.
