Your Mission:

We are recruiting for all levels of AIT Technician based upon previous experiences and skillsets.

As an AIT Technician, you will be an integral part of our aerospace manufacturing team. Your responsibilities include equipment set-up, operation, post-production clean-up, and waste disposal. You will assemble and test satellite sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies using various tools and work instructions, demonstrating proficiency and expertise as you progress through the levels.

Start dates for this position will vary between July and August due to Production needs.

The pay rate for this role is $22 - $35.63 based upon relevant experience.

Your day-to-day:

  • Perform equipment set-up, operation, and post-production activities.
  • Assemble and test satellite sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies using various tools and work instructions.
  • Conduct in-process testing and provide updates to analytical staff on anticipated testing needs.
  • Work consistently, quickly, and accurately to meet department standards.
  • Monitor and report labor hours accurately to multiple projects.

Your Profile:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (automated systems a plus).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment or mechanical assembly equipment (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel is a plus.
  • Familiarity with large scale highly technical equipment or other industrial/manufacturing equipment (preferred).

All AIT Technicians are expected to pay high attention to detail, utilize critical thinking skills, and demonstrate flexibility, including a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.


Physical Demand

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. Based on the position an employee is occasionally required to stand for an extended period of time; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision.
  • Personal Protective Equipment many be required including safety shoes and glasses. Other protective equipment may also be necessary based on the specific task
