Overview

Responsible for set-up, moving, storing and managing banquet equipment. Must work in a safe and organized manner taking appropriate measures and precautions when transporting awkward and heaving materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from the storage area to meeting rooms or vice versa. Must provide attentive, courteous, and efficient customer service to all team members, guests, clients, etc. according to Hallbrook standards.


Responsibilities

  • Properly set-up tables, chairs, linens and other equipment needed for events in meeting rooms per specifications on Banquet Event Orders or as directed by Banquet management.
  • Fulfill/Complete all information listed on the Banquet Events Order (BEO) is set up in the space.
  • Carefully disassembles all equipment post function and stores them properly in designated storage areas.
  • Carefully moves, positions, and connects all Banquet room airwalls according to established procedures for safeguarding and protecting all aspects of the airwalls.
  • Moves other furniture, as needed for events.
  • Follows all work safety guidelines and emergency procedure guidelines.
  • Participates in team meetings as needed.
  • Communicates any maintenance or repair issues to the Facilities and Housekeeping Departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Banquet set-up or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Available for flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance required.
  • Customer service experience with good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Typically bends, stoops, moves, lifts, squats, stretches and stands during the shift to perform assigned tasks.
  • Requires ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Often require an individual to work long hours, holidays (including but not limited to Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Mother’s Day, Labor Day, July 4th, Memorial Day), weekends.
  • May be subjected to shifts longer than 10 hours in one working day.
