As the Director of Nursing, you will lead the nursing program to uphold exceptional standards of patient care while ensuring full compliance with regulatory mandates. Your role encompasses supervising nursing staff, overseeing patient care, and managing administrative duties such as record-keeping and budgeting.Essential Job Functions:- Lead and guide nursing staff to provide exemplary care to patients and support to the medical team.- Supervise nursing personnel, including: - Conducting nurse selection and retention processes. - Developing and implementing the initial nursing assessment, ensuring all nursing staff are proficient in its administration. - Providing training on nursing testing during admissions and discharge. - Overseeing orientation and ongoing training initiatives for nursing staff. - Managing scheduling and coverage to ensure optimal staffing levels within budgetary constraints. - Establishing organizational structure and performance standards for nursing staff. - Demonstrating effective management skills through coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.- Take charge of educating and executing the organization's infection control program.- Monitor, report, and address medication errors and other nursing incidents promptly.- Implement quality improvement programs aimed at enhancing service levels.- Develop and revise policies to enhance patient care standards.- Collaborate closely with contracted Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Medical Doctors (MDs).-The Director of Nursing may be required to perform patient care duties as needed.Who You Are:
  • 5+ years as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Licensed in the state of TX
  • Experience in leadership or managing a team of nurses
  • Experience in Rehab setting preferred
  • Ability to provide care to a diverse group of patients
