Pay: We offer this International Operations Manager position a competitive pay

Schedule: This is a full-time position with significant international travel required. You will be traveling overseas at least 30% of the time, with peaks as high as 50%. When not traveling, you will be working at our Owatonna, MN location.

YOUR DAY AS AN INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

As an International Operations Manager, you will manage the transfer and updates of critical drawings between BSCI and Buhler entities, ensuring all documentation is precise and up-to-date. You will coordinate facility and investment requirements with local Buhler entities, designing and implementing efficient manufacturing process flows between suppliers and local teams. Your expertise will be crucial in organizing and overseeing remote training of production and quality procedures by BSCI personnel, as well as training local applications engineers and service personnel.

You will also play a vital role in organizing vendor approvals and managing the qualification process of final products produced at overseas Buhler facilities. Ensuring the smooth flow of inquiries to orders and orders to shipments, you will integrate essential production and quality data into BSCI core business systems. Your leadership and strategic planning will drive our international operations to new heights.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of machining techniques and assembly processes, particularly of vacuum-related equipment
  • Ability to identify and manage risk effectively
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret prints with strong attention to detail
  • General project management skills, including scheduling, cost planning, and tracking
  • Strong moderation skills for meetings, risk analysis, and reviews
  • Ability to foster creativity and innovation within the team
  • Willingness to travel

A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred Proficiency in SolidWorks is also a plus
