Job Summary:
The Retail Activation Specialist (RAS) position is responsible for maintaining program availability and merchandising products according to Coca-Cola standards within his or her designated territories. This includes cold box, ambient product placement, building displays, updating POS, and maintaining clean and organized product space. The RAS is dedicated to meeting customer service expectations through daily communication, problem-solving, and appropriate follow-up with all designated program stakeholders.

Additionally, the RAS is responsible for maintaining professional relationships with store(s) stakeholders, RAS colleagues, Coca-Cola and Green House Management, along with bottler stakeholders in addition to consumers at the store level. As the face of Green House, the RAS will frequently communicate with the Field Sales Manager (FSM) and the Account Director(AD) to ensure alignment of program opportunities and objectives while ensuring program imperatives are being achieved and excelled.

Key Responsibilities:
Local & Key Account Management (80%):

  • Secure New Points of Distribution (PODs) within key accounts
  • Open New Accounts – 90 days unsold
  • Gain new and increase existing brand facings, securing superior representation versus the competitive set:
    • Cold-box placements
    • Out of Department placements
  • Obtain “high-traffic” display opportunities and maintain brand merchandising standards throughout account(s)
  • Review territory coverage plan with FSM weekly based on commercial opportunity; ensuring routes cover accounts where the initiatives mentioned above are attainable
Communication & Reporting (20%):
  • Record a minimum of 35 account calls per week via Repsly
  • Record 40 working hours per week via Repsly
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly team calls
  • Submit a monthly report to key brand stakeholders
  • Execute a quarterly review with key program stakeholders
  • Ensure proper budget management via expense report submission bi-weekly
Minimum Requirements:
  • CPG experience preferred
  • Beverage industry experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong brand marketing and negotiation skills
  • Adept at networking, selling, and interacting with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent communication and presentation/public speaking skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams
  • Ability to be a passionate and enthusiastic brand ambassador for Coca-Cola.
  • Has strong Business Acumen, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite Professional communication, and Presentation development
  • Understand how to get things done by leveraging opportunities against multiple resources
  • Results-driven and customer-focused mentality with a collaborative attitude
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours to meet outlet/bottler needs (early mornings and weekends)
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive/travel through the designated market area
  • Ability to travel out of state

  • Ability to pick up and transport POS, merchandising equipment, and product

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • Salary: $53-58K Annually
  • Bonus - 10%
  • Auto allowance - $600 monthly
  • Communication allowance - $150 monthly
  • Wellness benefit - $50 monthly
