JOB TITLE: REFRIGERATION ENGINEER

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Refrigeration Engineer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The Refrigeration Engineer will be responsible for designing products and providing technical expertise and collaborating with the sales team to offer tailored solutions that meet the client’s needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background along with a background in refrigeration and fabrication.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and implement standards for refrigeration and cooling equipment.
  • Identify and pursue new industry items that can be incorporated in our finished products.
  • Keep the company up to date with industry regulations and standards.
  • Prepare quote requests for buy-out items and prepare purchase order requisitions.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to sales team, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, production, and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, venders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
  • Travel to customer sites for jobsite meetings when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering or a related field.
  • Understanding of ASHRAE, UL, Intertek, or other agencies..
  • Proven track record of success preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Knowledge of walk-in coolers and freezers is a plus.
Working conditions/Working environment:
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, and power tools.
  • Warehouse environment.
  • Confined spaces slight.
  • High elevations slight.
  • Moving objects-moderate (forklifts, carts)
  • Noise level-severe (equipment, tools)
